N’Djamena

Chad

Chad is a landlocked country in north-central Africa. Although it is a large nation, the northern half of the country is virtually deserted, with only about 20 persons per square mile in the region.

Despite this, Chad is a nation of great diversity, being a crossroads of linguistic, social, and cultural exchange. Over 100 languages are spoken in the nation. N’Djamena is in the center of cotton-growing, cattle-raising, and fishing areas and is thus a critical trading hub. In recent years, there has been an increase in radical Islam within Chad’s borders.

The church in Chad is pleading for prayer support as it seeks to advance amidst persecution.
